This Privacy Policy explains how OSB Trade Pty Ltd (ABN 75 657 616 450, ACN 657 616 450), trading as Oceanside Electric ("we", "us", "our"), collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information about you. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

When you use our website or the Build Your Own configurator, we collect:

• Identification & contact data: name, email address, phone number, delivery address (when you reserve, purchase, or contact us).
• Build configuration data: the spec you design in the configurator — paint colours, components, accessories, custom inputs.
• Payment data: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referral source, interactions with the configurator. Used to improve the product.
• Cookies and similar: small text files stored on your device to remember your build, keep you logged in, and measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser; some site functions may break if you do.

2. Why we collect it

• To process your reservation, payment, build, and delivery.
• To contact you about your order — confirmations, build updates, shipping notifications, post-sale support.
• To send your build specification to our manufacturing partner so your bike can be made.
• To improve the configurator, the website, and the product range.
• To send marketing communications (only with your consent — you can unsubscribe any time).
• To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share your personal information only with parties necessary to fulfil your order or operate the business:

• Manufacturing partner (Bissek Cycle Co. and authorised contract manufacturers) — receive your build specification, delivery name, and shipping address to produce and dispatch your bike.
• Payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) — processes card and bank transfers on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
• Email service (Resend) — delivers transactional and confirmation emails.
• Hosting and infrastructure (Vercel Inc., Cloudflare Inc.) — operate the website.
• Shipping partner (Australia Post, DHL, or equivalent) — receives your name, address, and contact for delivery.
• Government, law enforcement, or legal authorities — only when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information. Some of our service providers (Stripe, Resend, Vercel) may store data outside Australia (typically the United States or European Union). By using our website you consent to that overseas transfer.

4. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for a minimum of seven (7) years in accordance with Australian taxation requirements. Marketing-list email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Configurator build snapshots may be retained indefinitely so you can return to your saved build.

5. How we protect it

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS Level 1 standards. We restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis. No internet transmission is ever 100% secure — you provide your information at your own risk.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
• Request deletion of your information (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations).
• Unsubscribe from any marketing email by clicking the unsubscribe link or replying "unsubscribe".
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your configurator build across visits, measure aggregate site traffic (Vercel Analytics), and run advertising (Meta Pixel, when active). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

8. Children

Our website and products are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
